Committee nominated member Sylvester raised the issue of some people, who already own houses under the Indira Gandhi scheme in Mallenahalli Panchayat limits, getting sites under the scheme. It was decided to issue notices to such beneficiaries and to subsequently cancel their sites.

It was also found that some of the beneficiaries were not residing in the Ashraya houses while other siteless were residing there. The meeting decided to permanently provide the houses to these dwellers.

The Ashraya Committee members said that the land earmarked for park, on the outskirts of the city, should be utilised to build the housing colony, instead of an earlier earmarked land, which was a hilly area.
