A group of people from Kavitala village of Manvi taluk of Raichur district were on their way to Tirupati after visiting Dharmasthala.
The dead included Basavarajaswamy Hiremath, owner of trax and Boregowda of Bendinhalli, who was driving the bullock cart. Out of the 18 injured, 11 are admitted to Hassan District Hospital, five to Chennarayapatna Hospital and three to Holenarasipur Hospital.
The mishap occurred when the bus and the tempo trax dashed against the bullock cart. SP Sharathchandra visited. Chennarayapatna Rural Police have registered a case.
