A 28-year-old pani puri vendor, hailing from Uttar Pradesh, was found dead hanging on the Old Road in the town on Sunday.
The deceased, Upendra, had been to Delhi a few days ago and had returned recently.
The incident came to light when neighbours broke open the doors of his house, when a foul smell emanated from the house.
Police have registered a case and are investigating.
