Software tools help students enter IT industry

He was addressing students armed with laptops gathered at the International School of Information Management to participate in the day-long workshop on ‘T2E - Think, Explore and Evolve Challenge’ organised by IBM India and Computer Society of India (CSI).

Aimed at educating students about the trends in the field of Information Technology, the workshop included a practical exposure on Eclipse, IDE and Web 2.0.

He said that students passing out of IT institutes including engineering and degree classes are uncertain on what the industry expected from them. Workshops help bridge the gap between students and the IT industry.

IBM resource person Shylaja said attending such workshops would carry significant importance, especially when applying for jobs.
