The district administration should convene a meeting of the local gram panchayat and officials to solve the row over jeeps with yellow and white registration ferrying tourists and passengers to Mandalpatti, said Kalooru villager A T Madappa.
Briefing reporters here on Monday, he said that Mandalpatti is a tourist destination. The business establishments rent vehicles which have been eking out a living through tourism. However, these jeeps and pick up vehicles have been collecting exorbitant fares from the tourists. The issue should be solved by convening a meeting, he said.
