Excise minister M P Renukacharya who was in-charge of Hassan has been shifted to Chamarajnagar. Somanna has been given additional charge of Hassan district.
The Chief Minister in his recent reshuffle of district in-charge ministers had shifted Somanna from Hassan to Tumkur. A section of people from Hassan staged protests in front the Chief Minister’s official residence in Bangalore demanding the reversal of the order.
