Son-in-law 'attacks' writer over property

She chaired the 76th All India Kannada Sahitya Sammelana held at Gadag.

At a press meet here on Wednesday, Dr Geeta said her son-in-law Aravind Guruji had been insisting that she part with her property in favour of Puja, his (Aravind’s) daughter.

“Three men, including Aravind, barged into my house and assaulted me and my son Bharat on Monday night. Bharat has been admitted to government hospital in Gulbarga,” she said.

He has hatched a conspiracy to usurp Rs 11 lakh received at the Gadag Sammelan. She said she had been living in fear as the police are yet to act against persons who threatened her life.
