The State BJP will request its prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi, whether his mammoth Bangalore rally scheduled to be held on November 16, could be postponed by a day so that it falls on a Sunday.

The party has now shortlisted two venues for the convention— Palace Grounds or Jakkur airfield -  and has dropped its previous plan of holding the same on the outskirts of the City.
“We felt that if the convention is held on a Sunday (November 17), there would be lesser traffic interruptions. We have sent our request and are waiting for a response,” BJP State General Secretary C T Ravi said.

The party decided that the significance of the convention would be lost if it was not held in Bangalore. The party is also planning to make the attendance at the convention run into lakhs like the “karyakartha mahakumbh,” a rally addressed by Modi in Bhopal, recently.
