Inaugurating the newly constructed auditorium of Karnataka Small Scale Industries Association (KSSIA), the Chief Minister said the State government had already been providing facilities and concessions to industrialists under Industrial Policy
2009-14.
He allayed the fears of environmentalists, who opposed major industrial projects, by stating that the government was acquiring only infertile land to set up industries. Yeddyurappa said that Rs 10,000 crore has been earmarked for subsidies in 2011-12 budget and it is proposed to present a Rs one lakh crore budget for 2012-13.
