State committee of Kadamba Sainya had organised State-level convention ‘swabhimani Kannadigara samavesha’ at Chamarajanagar on Monday.

State president of Kadamba Sainya Bekri Ramesh opined that pro-Kannada organisations worked for the welfare of the language. He regretted that with increased use of modern technology has naturally increased use of English language.

He opined that Kannada language should be used in every part of life to conserve it. He urged that jobs should be provided on priority to those who have studied in Kannada medium. “Chamarajanagar has to be considered as backward district.”

State vice president of sainya said that it is duty of every Kannadiga to fight for the language and its culture. District president N Ambarish, advocate A N Rajanna, Banavasi taluk panchayat president Ganesh Sannalingappa, State president of Kannada Senapade Srinivasgowda, L Suresh, Udaykumar Kanalli and others were present.
