'State politics, good subject for a parody'

Speaking to reporters here on Friday, he said the drama going on for the past one month in the State was nothing but mockery of democracy.

He was in to Delhi to receive the best film director award and was speaking to reporters after attending a luncheon reception hosted by Additional Special Representative of Governor of Karnataka, B N Nagesh at the Karnataka Bhavan.

‘Kanasemba Kudureyenneri’ a Kannada film directed by Kasaravalli bagged Rajata Kamala award for best regional movie.  

Kasaravalli expressed his surprise that the people, instead of protesting, had become mute spectators of the political crisis. “It seems now a days people have become more selfish than thinking caring for community welfare. Even in current political crisis, elected representatives are exposing themselves by showing that they were more into making money than being loyal to people or governance”, he lamented.
