He said at a state-level workshop for tax consultants on Sunday the VAT collection has surpassed the target by 50 per cent and attributed the success to dealers. Admitting non-availability of ‘C’ forms for payment of tax, the Commissioner said the form could be downloaded from the website of the department. The dealers need not worry about absence of official seal on the form.
Online facilities such as e-sugam and e-filing provide details related to payment of tax to traders and department. A new facility titled e-Varadan will be introduced shortly, he said.
