Addressing the Anti-Child Labour Week celebrations organised by MLA’s Government Model Higher Primary School here on Monday, he said the United Nations has given more priority on the protection of children’s rights.

“Making children to work as child labourers and hiring them for works, both are offenses. Children should be motivated to attain an independent life by giving quality education,” he said.

Presiding over the function, Taluk Akshara Dasoha Assistant Director T R Rudrappa appealed the voluntary organisations to create awareness among the parents regarding the children’s rights and legislations connected to them.
