Two school students suffered burns when they came in contact with a railway power line on Friday as they tried to catch pigeons, reports DHNS from Bangarpet.

Rajesh, a resident of Bettabannahalli, has suffered serious burn injuries, while Siddique, a resident of Tekal, has suffered minor injuries. Rajesh has been shifted to Victoria Hospital in Bangalore. Siddique is being treated at the Devaraj Urs Medical College and Hospital in Kolar.

Both are students of 10 standard in a private school in Bangarpet. The students, who had left for lunch, often traveled to school by train. They went to the station to board the train for their village, when they spotted a group of pigeons. They tried to catch them by climbing on the roof of the train, when they came in contact with a power line passing above and suffered burn injuries.
