Symposium on infrastructure in M'lore

Speaking after inaugurating the symposium, Nitte University Chancellor Vinaya Hegde spoke on the factors affecting the development of industries in Dakshina Kannada.
“Education is essential in gaining knowledge and developing the industries in Mangalore. Mangalore is rich in healthcare, IT, tourism etc but lacks road connectivity and hotel infrastructure.

 The industrial growth has to take place in Mangalore. Students should be the new dimensions in developing the infrastructure of Mangalore,” he said.
Fr Denzil Lobo spoke about the importance of infrastructure and the need for development.
The symposium included four sessions.

They were ‘Powering entrepreneurs,’ ‘Paving the way- about the woes of the people of Mangalore while traversing the roads in Mangalore,’ ‘Propelling through the waters’ and ‘Infrastructure in Mangalore.’
