Kodagu district ex-servicemen Association office-bearers urged the youth to take part in army recruitment rally, which will be held on April 1.
Addressing a press meet, Association President Major General (retd) B A Cariappa, honourary secretary A E Ganapathy, director Col (retd) N K Appayya said those who get selected from Kodagu are disciplined and known for their valour. The salary of a solider has also been hiked considerably.
The rally will be held at General Thimmaiah stadium on April 1 to 7. The rally will be exclusively for the citizens of Kodagu on April 1 and 7.
Recruitment will be held for the post of soldier, clerk, storekeeper, technical, soldier general duty, nursing assistants.
