Talk on water conservation at zoo

Water management specialist Vishwanath of Rainwater Club, Bangalore, will speak on ‘Conservation of water and its importance in urban landscape,’ as part of the fifth Conservationspeak on February 5 at the zoo auditorium at 4.15 pm.

Due to space constraint, participation is limited to 200 persons on first-cum-first serve basis with prior registration, free of cost at zoomysore@gmail.com or through telephone call to zoo office (0821 2520302 or 2440752) before February 5.

Participants are requested to park their vehicles at the zoo parking stand in front of the zoo entrance, said a release from Sri Chamarajendra Zoological Gardens executive director B P Ravi.

Himalayan trekking

Youth Hostels Association of India, New Delhi, is conducting national Himalayan trekking and adventure programmes at the Kulu-Manali range of Uttaranchal (1) Nature study camp for children and (2) Family adventure camping during April/May.
