The tahsildar is said to have demanded a bribe of Rs one lakh from Surjit, a resident of Chikkamagalur, for phodi work on survey no. 3 of Doddakundur in the taluk. Lokayukta sleuths took the tahsildar and Ramesh, a surveyor, into custody.
