Tata Institute to launch BVoc in State on Monday

Bachelor of Vocational Education (BVoc), a flagship course launched by the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) in 2011 as part of improving the employability of the students, is all set to enter Bengaluru. Noble Institute of Education Society, a training hub partner of the TISS will launch the course at its campus on Hosur Road on December 15. 

Addressing a press meet here on Friday, Rupa B Rao, the chief executive officer of Noble Institute of Education Society said that the course was being introduced in Karnataka for the first time. The institute will launch courses in Healthcare and Human Relations and Sales. Medical lab technology, patient care management and related subjects would be taught under Healthcare module while business-related issues would be taught under HR and Sales.

She said that the three-year BVoc course make the students industry-ready.
“All the courses offered by TISS through Noble Institute of Education Society are recognised by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). Candidates who have passed second PUC can apply for the course. The course will start in January,” Rao said.
