Teacher delivers lectures for 13 hours at one go

Such parents would not have any complaints against a teacher here, who has set a record by taking classes continuously for 13 hours.

S Ravishankar, a faculty at Raghvendra BEd College in Malladihalli in Holalkere taluk in Chitradurga district left no stone unturned to achieve this rare feat.

Though it was a tiresome time for the pupils to hear the lecture continuously, Ravishankar was intent on accomplishing his goal.

Ravishankar started the lecture series at 8:30 am on Saturday and finished it at 9:30 pm.
Special talk

He also delivered a special talk on ‘Education Psychology’, considered a very boring subject. Ravishankar infused new thoughts and made the subject more interesting to hold the students’ attention.

He consumed fruit juice after every two hours to maintain the pitch of the voice. Nearly, 98 students heard his lecture with patience.

Later, speaking to reporters, Ravishankar said it was an effort to celebrate his 13th year of teaching. Next year, Ravishankar aims to deliver lecture continuously for 14 hours. Students are forewarned!
