The deceased have been identified as Manjunath (32) of Agrahara Dasarahalli, Bangalore, his wife Poornima (26) and their relative Tanuja (21).
The Hassan-bound bus hit the car in which the trio were travelling towards Bangalore. Manjunath was at the wheels.
Manjunath and Tanuja died on the spot. A severely injured Poornima died en route to the hospital in Hassan. The police retrieved the bodies with the help of locals. Hirisave police have registered a case.
