The deceased have been identified as Basavannevva Basavanneppa Dodmani (78), Sangavva Dodmani (68) and Renuka Halkatti (48) of Kalghatagi. A man was also seriously injured in the incident.
The wall, which was completely soaked in the continuous rains, collapsed.
Renuka, who was sleeping nearby the wall, died on the spot and the other two died in the hospital. The Dodmani family was living together before dividing their properties recently. After, dividing, they constructed a muddy wall in the huge house to make partition. The same wall got completely soaked in the recent rain and crumbled down.
