Three people were killed on the spot in a collision between a lorry and a canter on national highway (NH)-48 on Tuesday morning. The accident occurred near the big banyan tree.
The canter crashed into the Bengaluru-bound lorry from behind.
Canter driver Lokesh (34) of K R Nagar and a couple --Hanumantharaju (40) and Radha (35) -- of Ranebennur taluk, died on the spot.
Kallambella police have registered the case.
