Tiger dies of renal failure at BBP

Preliminary post mortem report confirmed that death was caused due to renal failure leading to multiple organ failure. The tiger, which had been suffering for 45 days, was surviving on fluids and supportive therapy.

Three samples of visceral organs and other body parts were collected and will be sent to the Institute of Animal Health and Veterinary Biologicals in Hebbal, to a private laboratory and the third will be kept as a standby sample.

The tiger was born in the park on July 26, 1996, to tigers Megha and Sanjay.
