Despite a recent ban entering Bengaluru to address a convention, Vishwa Hindu Parishad leader Praveen Togadia is scheduled to address four gatherings in the State in March.

Togadia will address Viraat Hindu Samajothsavas at Udupi on March 9, Chikkamagaluru and Hassan on March 10 and Mysuru on March 11.

Addressing a press meet, Rajendra Babu N K, president of the Mysuru unit of VHP, said, “The objective of the Samajothsava - being held to mark the 50th anniversary of VHP - is the protection of cows, ban on conversion and promotion of harmony in the society.”

Babu said that the ban on Togadai was restricted to Bengaluru and did not apply to other parts of the State.

About 20,000 people from various parts of Mysuru district are expected to gather at the Doddakere Maidan, opposite the Exhibition Grounds, for the convention on March 11, he said.
