Toll on nine State Highways

The government proposes to entrust nine State highways on ‘Operation, Maintenance and Transfer’ basis to private agencies on a user fee-toll model with a 10-year maintenance period.

The roads are: from Kalmala junction to Sindhanur; Hattiguduru-Bidar; Krishna Bridge-Bijapur-Lokapur; Sankeshwara-Yadawada; Hunagund-Belgaum; Hiriyur-Bellary; Bilikere-Belur via Hassan; Yadgiri-Andhra Pradesh border, and Andhra Prades border-Shahapur.

Chikkanayakanahalli-Tiptur-Hassan (70 km) and Dharwad-Alnavar (60 km)  highway will be developed on private-public-participation and viability gap funding (toll) model at a cost of Rs 480 crore.
