Two persons among the five who died in an early morning fire mishap in Kailash Bar, near Kalasipalya Market in Bengaluru, on Monday, were from Hirisave hobli in Channarayapatna taluk.

The deceased are Manjunath (42), son of Shivananjaiah of Honnashettihalli, and Mahesh (28) of Mookikere village. It is said that the duo had left the villages in search of job to Bengaluru. They had been sending money to the families back home by working in bars and wine shops.

Manjunath had worked as a supplier at various bars in Bengaluru, since 25 years, while his family lives in the village. He has left behind his wife, son and a daughter. He had joined Kailash bar only two months ago.

Mookikere Mahesh, a physically-challenged person, had migrated to Bengaluru seven years ago.

He too was working in several bars and wine shops. He had taken a month's leave and had visited the village to attend the agricultural work. He had returned to Bengaluru only a few days ago. As his earlier employer did not allow him to rejoin, he had joined Kailash bar only on Sunday.

He, along with four others, were charred to death in a fire triggered by electrical short circuit at the bar in the wee hours of Monday.
