The final document will be released by Governor H R Bhardwaj on February 10 in Mysore, according to Vice Chancellor Prof V G Talwar.

Disclosing this at the Academic Council meeting held at Crawford Hall on Monday, Prof Talwar said the University of Mysore, which has a history of 95 years, was opening itself to changes, in order to meet contemporary challenges. “The draft has been prepared by a committee monitored by Vice Chairman of Higher Education Council Prof H M Savadatti in consultation with education experts and scholars. The 27-page document has specific sections dedicated to vision, mission, legacy, challenges, academic administrative restructuring and action plan,” he said. Barring few suggestions, the draft was endorsed by the members.
