The seer had given April 15 as deadline to set right the loopholes in the UPCL.

Speaking to Deccan Herald, he said: “I will not take decision on my own. I will discuss the issue with other leaders who are protesting along with me. I will visit Nandikoor and then take a decision. At the same time, people should come forward to stage agitation.”

The seer has started fasting by taking one meal a day against the UPCL on March 19. The Chief Minister had written a letter to the seer urging to drop the fasting. However, later, he withdrew the fasting following the discussion with the MP Nalin Kumar Kateel. In a letter written to Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa on Friday, he said that priority should be given to those experts who have been selected by the citizens to make a study on the harmful affects of the UPCL.” The expert team included experts from Manipal, NITK and Pollution Control Board.
