The State has five DG rank officers –– Lalrokhuma Pachau (who is presently DGP, Mizoram), Shankar Bidari, A R Infant, Sushant Mahapatra and R K Datta. Based on their service records, the UPSC will propose three names for the top post to the State government, which, in turn, will pick one of them.
The incumbent DG&IG Neelam Achutha Rao will retire from service on November 30. It is expected that the government would select the new DG&IG on Wednesday.
