Varthur Prakash stresses for infrastructure in rural areas

Speaking after launching Rs one crore road construction work in Kutandahalli village of the taluk recently, the legislator said that steps will be taken for construction of cement road in the next fifteen days. He also assured to sink borewells in the village to tackle water scarcity and asked the leaders to focus on development of the village.

“I am not into politics of revenge. There is not even a single incidence of disturbing peace and tranquillity during my tenure as MLA for the last one-and-a-half year. My supporters are not of the kind who would create law and order problem. I have been respecting all my political rivals,” Varthur said.

Claiming that his faction has a good leadership, the legislator exuded confidence that his faction would register a thumping victory in the ensuring Gram Panchayat elections.
Development works to the tune of Rs one crore could be taken up in each village under National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme. The responsibility of utilising the funds lies on all - the public representatives and officers  he said.
