As a prelude to Hindu Samajotsava scheduled to be held at Gonikoppa on January 16, the VHP and Bajrang Dal members took out a bike jatha in Madikeri, on Saturday.
The jatha that commenced at Shanthiniketana passed through General Thimmaiah Circle, Private bus stand, Chowki, Kohinoor Road, Race Course Road, before culminating at Omkareshwara temple.
Speaking on the occasion, Bajrang Dal state convener Sooryanarayana said that people from various castes should unite. VHP leader Praveen Togadia will take part in the Hindu Samajotsava.
