Condemning the murder of BJP worker Deepak Rao, the members of Vishwa Hindu Parishat, Bajrang Dal and BJP staged a road block in Madikeri on Friday.
The protesters demanded stringent action against the culprits and a ban on SDPI and PFI. They raised slogans against the state government.
Hindu Jagarana Vedike convener Kukkera Ajith alleged, "A few Muslim organisations are behind this crime. As the state government is supporting PFI, SDPI and KFD, such communal riots are on rise."
He said that the state government is silent on the murder of Hindu activists issue.
BJP district secretary Ravi Kushalappa demanded the state government to ban PFI and SDPI.
