Villagers seek regular power supply, submit memorandum

Speaking to reporters the villagers said that power was being supplied to the village, situated at a distance of 3 km from the City from the transmission lines from the City. The power supply has been disrupted as the route is now changed, they complained.
The villagers said that industries to have been bearing the brunt of erratic power supply. Power is not available even to charge cellphone hand sets and rechargeble batteries. Repeated oral requests to Bescom have failed to yield any result and hence a written memorandum is being submitted.

Bangalore Electricity Supply Company (Bescom) engineer S K Prabhakar, who received the memorandum said that their duty is to supply and cut power as determined. However, he promised to bring the matter to the notice of authorities concerned.
Lakshminarayana, Tyagaraj, Arun Kumar, Manjunath and others took part.
