Disgruntled Congress leader and former Mysuru MP A H Vishwanath on Friday met AICC general secretary in-charge of Karnataka K C Venugopal and held talks with him.
Later, speaking to reporters, Vishwanath said the AICC general secretary has promised him to sort out all the issues raised by him and requested him not to take any hasty decisions. Earlier in the day, he also met KPCC president G Parameshwara.
It is speculated in the Congress circles that Vishwanath has agreed not to leave the party. The former MP was reportedly planning to join the JD(S). He had been critical of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s style of functioning.
