The State BJP on Monday dared Chief Minister Siddaramaiah to watch his words before speaking against the BJP and the party’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi.

Reacting to the tirade launched by Siddaramaiah against the BJP at a party event on Sunday, former chief minister D V Sadananda Gowda and former deputy chief minister R Ashoka said the tone and tenor of his speech were unbecoming of a chief minister.

They claimed that Siddaramaiah had become desperate following apprehension that he will lose his position after the Lok Sabha polls. “Nothing more can be expected from a person who party-hops for power and becomes chief minister by coincidence,” they stated.

The development schemes implemented by Modi in Gujarat have become a model for other states to emulate, they stated and added that Siddaramaiah should realise the immense respect that the people of the country have for Modi.
