It so happened that the residents of Doddaguttahalli were protesting before the TP.

Member of Legislative Assembly Amaresh who came to the spot pacified the protesters and promised to address the issue at the earliest. Later, he went to attend a taluk-panchayat meeting at the TP. But the protesters continued with their protest which disturbed the meeting. Irked Amaresh sought to know why the agitators are still demonstration even after he promised to solve the water crisis.

But this did not go well with Taluk Panchayat member M Venkataramanappa. He along with the protesters interrupted the meeting demanded the legislator to set right the water problem. But situation went out of control as the legislator and the TP member involved in verbal duel.  However, the legislator soon realised the chaos and spoke to the agitating residents. He instructed the Bescom officials to repair the transformer with which the water supply was affected.

TP members Nagamangala Shankarappa, Chalapathi, Shankarappa and Jayaram participated in the protest.
