Revenue Minister V Srinivas Prasad said he would release a White Paper on drought relief works taken up by the State government and also the funds released by the Union government for the purpose, soon.
He was speaking to media persons here on Thursday. “Opposition leaders, including State BJP president B S Yeddyurappa, are making false claims that the Centre has released excess funds and that the State government is not spending it properly. The claims are misleading the people. So, the White Paper will explain, in a transparent manner, how much funds have the Centre released, how much the state has spent and how far the farmers and the people have been benefited,” he said.
He claimed that there is not a single complaint that a village has not got drinking water supply despite an unprecedented drought situation after a long-gap of over four decades.
