Jamuna, the granddaughter of the original land owner Javara alias Ninga, has filed the suit over in connection with survey number 464 of Kesare village. Jamuna has claimed that the land had been sold without her knowledge and without giving her a share in sale proceeds. She filed the suit on October 21 seeking temporary injunction till the disposal of the suit.

The court refused to grant an injunction. It issued summons and a notice to 12 defendants, including Siddaramaiah’s wife B M Parvathi, his brother-in-law B M Mallikarjun Swamy, the Mysuru deputy commissioner and the MUDA Commissioner. The matter is posted to January 10, 2025.

The original owner of the land, Javara has three sons Mylariah, Mallaiah and Devaraju. Jamuna is the daughter of Mylaraiah.

The family had 3 acres 16 guntas of land in survey number 464, and owner J Devaraju had sold it to B M Mallikarjunaswamy in 2004. In 2010, Mallikarjunaswamy gifted the land to B M Parvathi. MUDA, which had developed a layout there, had allotted 14 alternative sites to Parvathi. However, Parvathi returned the 14 alternative sites to MUDA.
