A woman who had taken her buffaloes to drink water from River Krishna was attacked and killed by a crocodile at Ayyanagudi in Muddebihal taluk in the district on Tuesday.
The victim is Gowramma Nadagouda, 35, of Khanikeri village. She was standing by the buffaloes when the crocodile pounced on her and took her away. The woman's body was retrieved with the help of the fire personnel and expert swimmers.
