Bhardwaj is the general secretary of the State BJP. The post was laying vacant ever since cine actor Shruti resigned.
The Government has decided to set up day care centres for the welfare of senior citizens in all districts of the State, Women and Child Development Minister P M Narendraswamy said.
Presently, there are only four day care centres in the State. These centres will function from morning to evening and engage senior citizens in various activities, he added.
