Son of a great Yakshagana artiste late Shankaranarayana Samaga, Ramadasa Samaga served the Yakshagana field for over five decades including in several professional Yakshagana troupes of undivided Dakshina Kannada district.
He is the contemporary of late Sheni Gopalakrishna Bhat, another renowned figure in Tenkutittu style of Yakshagana. Ramadasa Samaga in most of the Yakshagana played his opponent role.
He was the recipient of several awards including Rajyotsava award and Karnataka Yakshagana and Janapada Academy awards and Karnataka Tulu Sahitya Academy award.
