Speaking on the occasion of a prize distribution ceremony for economically backward students organised by the Patanjali Yogapeeth on Sunday he said, “Just as education is needed for the well-being of society, yoga was needed for the well being of the human body.”
He praised the Yogapeeth for providing scholarship to the poor students.The students who had scored high marks in the recent SSLC and PU exams were awarded with prizes.
According to the Yogapeeth Rs nine lakh has been distributed as scholarships to 56 students this year.
Seer Siddehwaraswami of Aduchunchanagiri shaka in Chikkaballapur inagurated the function. Senior advocate Basappagowda presided over the programme.
