External Affairs Minister S M Krishna gifted his Pakistani counterpart Shah Mehmood Qureshi some pieces of handicrafts from Karnataka. He had got the gifts flown from Bangalore to Delhi before he himself took the flight to Islamabad.

Krishna’s gift-hamper for Qureshi included sandalwood items and a handcrafted book-stand, which is known as rehal and widely used to read Quran in Pakistan.

Krishna also presented the exquisite handicraft pieces from his home state to Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani.
