Kerala High Court will hearing arguments on a revision petition against a CBI special court’s order releasing CPI(M) politburo member Pinarayi Vijayan from the SNC-Lavalin graft case.

The court on Friday approved the government’s appeal for an early hearing on the CBI's revision petition and scheduled the hearing on the last week of February.

Vijayan and six others were released by a CBI special court in November 2013. The CBI charge-sheet claimed that the state suffered Rs 86.25 crore loss while awarding an Rs-370 crore contract to Canada-based firm SNC-Lavalin to revive three hydro-electricity projects in Senkulam, Panniyar and Pallivasal.
