Anxious about cross-voting by its members, Congress in Karnataka seems unprepared to field its candidate for the forthcoming by-elections for the Legislature Council.
The party was embarrassed over the defeat of its candidate Iqbal Ahmad Saradagi in last month’s elections as a result of its members cross-voting and feels that the same could happen again despite having sufficient votes.
