Satish, 27, a soldier from Alambaadi village in KR Pet was killed during a suicide attack by terrorists, who stormed the CRPF camp in Sringar on Wednesday.
Satish, son of Jagashetty and Savithramma, has been serving in the Border Security Force for the past five years. His elder brother Harish is also serving in the same force. His mortal remains will reach the village on Thursday evening and last rites will be performed at his village, sources said.
After completing ITI course, Satish was selected to the Border Security Force.. “After I lost my husband, I struggled to raise them. But I was happy when they decided to serve the nation. Today, I have lost my son and I’m proud and sad at this,” said his mother.
