A 17-year-old labourer was charred to death while his brother suffered serious burn injuries when both were allegedly set ablaze by three persons for refusing to work at a construction site here, police said.

Pawan (17) and Kapil Dhobi, both brothers, refused to work at the construction site at Chirgaon in Atpai village and were allegedly set on fire by three persons yesterday, Superintendent of Police (Rural) S P Singh said.

An FIR had been registered against Suresh, Bablu and Brijesh Yadav, the SP said.
They were on the run and a hunt had been launched to nab them, he said.
Kapil was battling for life in hospital, the SP said.
