Maharashtra Cabinet Minister and Nationalist Congress Party spokesperson Nawab Malik on October 11 said that Maharashtra bandh called by Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) over Lakhimpur Kheri violence is being observed peacefully with public support. “MVA's call for bandh today against killings in Lakhimpur Kheri (in Uttar Pradesh) has received support from the Left and some other parties and trade unions. The bandh is being observed peacefully across Maharashtra with widespread public support,” he added.
