The BJP on Sunday accused the Mamata Banerjee government in West Bengal of providing a safe haven to terrorists after it was reported that a gutted building that housed suspected Indian Mujahideen associates belonged to a Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader.

The BJP also questioned Mamata’s reluctance to hand over the probe to the National Investigation Agency (NIA). Reports said explosive materials and inflammatory documents have been found on the spot.

One of the persons dead and another seriously injured are suspected to be IM activists. The police have arrested two women who were also residing in the Khagragarh locality of Burdwan district. The house is owned by TMC leader Nurul Hasan Choudhury.
